Hakubas central location makes it a mecca for Japanese outdoor sports lovers in all seasons. Only recently discovered on the map of many foreign travelers, Hakuba remains quaintly Japanese. Of particular note in the Green Season are local cultural activities. In Winter, aside from the massive snow levels, foreign visitors to Hakuba find several festivals and nearby temples well worth a days jaunt away from the ski fields.

Sierra Resort is the only Hotel in Hakuba to have dedicated, direct-feed natural hot spring water.
