Fujiya is located in Kawayu Onsen hot springs area and it takes about 60 minute ride by local bus from JR Shingu station. Also it takes only 15 minutes by local bus to Kumano Hongu Taisha, one of the grand shrines in Kumano-kodo, the UNESCO World Heritage Pilgrimage Routes and Kumano Hayatama Taisha and Kumano Nachi Taisha which are other grand shrines are near there too. In addition to open air baths and wooden baths in the hotel, there is a open air bath outside, next to the river in front of the hotel. Japanese style swimsuits are available at the front desk with fees. A giant bath in the river called Sennin-buro will be opened from December to February and the bath is approximately 40 meters by 15 meters in size, and the depth of 60 centimeters. Free sending services to Hosshinmon-oji or Fushiogami-oji departing at the hotel at 9:00am are available if you request in advance, so you will start walking and enjoying one of Kumanokodo routes. To help you relax and get away from the hussle and bussle of the city, Fujiya have used different names from nature for each of their rooms. The scent of wild flowers will welcome you to your tranquil Japanese style room. You will get refreshed and full of energy. In case you stay in Japanese style rooms, dinner and breakfast will be served in your room for groups of up to three persons and in the Banquet Room for groups of more than four. In case you stay in Kumano modern rooms, dinner and breakfast will be served in the Banquet Room for all guests.
